Ever daydreamed about falling madly in love and moving overseas?
Guess what? That’s actually something that happened in my real life.
WHO
My name is Heather. I was born and raised in Columbus, OH. I’m a nice Midwestern girl, but I’ve always been stubbornly independent with a wild streak.
WHERE
In 2016, I met the love of my life – an Israeli named Ido. So, in 2019, I moved to Israel, and in April of 2021 (after monumental amounts of effort) we finally got married.
AND HOW
The “how” is what every one of these stories are about – from immigration hurdles to Covid-19 roadblocks to language barriers – and how I’m muddling my way through, both as an individual and with my beloved Ido.
Sounds bananas, right? But it’s true. And it’s so much richer and better – and HARDER – than I ever thought it would be.
And these are our crazy beautiful stories from our crazy beautiful life.

About Me
Hi there – I’m Heather. And in Hebrew, I’m what they call muzahrah (it means “weird”).
I paint watercolors (and win awards for them). I have a motorcycle license. I run a copywriting business (that I built from scratch). And I moved from the Midwest to the Middle East when I was 32.
And if that sounds like the kind of muzahrah you want in your life, then I’m your girl.
